ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Born in Zagreb, Petar Grašo is one of Croatia’s most popular singer-songwriters. With his huge following across Europe he has been awarded multiple Platinum & Double Platinum Albums & Seagull awards. Petar has performed and written numerous hits across his career not only for himself, but legends and stars such as Oliver Dragojević, Jelena Rozga, Severina, Željko Bebek, Doris Dragović, Danijela, Tonči Huljić & Madre Badessa Band. Across his career, Petar has received various accolades such as ‘Composer of the year’, ‘Hit of the year’ and ‘Performance & Song of the year’.
Nina Badrić is one of the most successful and most awarded Croatian musicians, whose career has successfully spanned the past 20 years. Accomplishments, awards, and popularity are following this musician beyond Croatian borders, where she’s been dubbed the best and most favorite pop singer in the region year in & year out by both audiences and music professionals. She is the winner of multiple Popularity Oscar’s, awarded by music professionals and audiences in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia. Besides a terrific voice that many compare to those of divas like Angie Stone, Alicia Keys or Mary J. Blige, Nina is characterized by many as one of the most complete musicians today. Her personality, charm, or the so called factor X immediately win people over, and as far as her looks are concerned, many claim that she is one of the most beautiful Croatian singers ever!
ANTE GELO, a guitarist, composer and arranger, graduated jazz guitar at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Gratz. He has performed in numerous concerts and jazz festivals in Croatia, Hungary, Brazil, Serbia, Austria, Germany, France, Slovenia, and Italy. He also performed in major concert halls of the world: L’Olympia (Paris), The Royal Albert Hall (London), Wiener Konzerthaus (Vienna) and Carnegie Hall (New York). He has worked with many known artist such a: Oliver, Arsen Dedic, Gabi Novak, Nina Badrić, Tereza Kesovija, Tedi Spalato, Bosko Petrovic, Matija Dedic, Amira Medunjanin, Tamara Obrovac, Harper Lee, Alberto Marsico. Ante has won several Music Awards, such as the “Porin” award for the best arrangement, composition, production, Croatian Composers Society Award for best jazz composition, Croatian Music Union Award “Status”, & many more..

The Serb National Federation is pleased to recommend you to watch online the outstanding theatre performance Two Women and One War with Serbian actresses Marija Bergam and Vera Mujović in the leading roles. The performance describes the friendship between the Serbian and American people through the love story of two women who are forgotten heroines of the Great War.
One is an American woman, Mabel Grujić, who is married to Serbian diplomat Slavko Grujić. Another is a Serbian woman, Jelena Lozanić, married to the Serbian people’s most generous American benefactor, John Frothingham. They both have two homelands: Serbia and the United States.
In this play, you can discover why Mabel Grujić was nicknamed the Serbian Jovanka Orleanka; how many woolen socks for Serbian soldiers at the front were knitted by rich American women from high society; and who adopted 600 children in one day.
Mabel, along with Mihajlo I. Pupin, built homes for Serbian orphans and mobilized American physicians to come to Serbia and help their colleagues.
Jelena Lozanić, Representative of the Yugoslav Red Cross from 1915 to 1920, had a great humanitarian mission to the United States to collect funds for the Serbian Army and people. She met her greatest love, John Frothingham. He donated to Serbia in value almost four Serbian national budgets from 1915.
Jelena Kajgo wrote the text of the play, and the director is Alek Conic.
The performance is with English subtitles.
